It is unclear whether this is he whose Revolutionary War Pension request was granted on March 29, 1825 in Sullivan Co TN; as he was also supposed to be living in VA at the time.

Served in battles of Germantown, Brandywine & Bordertown, George Washington's Life Guard.
December 12, 1777, Taken prisoner at "Fox Chase" near Philadelphia PA, POW 5 months. Exchanged, he returned to Col. Lee's Regiment.
