2. Wesley MADDEN, born December 15, 1833 in KY; died May 13, 1917. He was the son of 4. George MADDEN and 5. Rachel Fallen. He married 3. Malinda HUFF.
Burial: Madden Cemetery, Irishman Creek, KY
Wesley served as a Private in Co. F of the 5th Ky Mounted Rifles under Captain Benjamin Everage Caudill.
5th disbanded on October 20, 1862 at Hazel Green, Kentucky.
Then served in Company A, 13th Kentucky Cavalry under now Colonel Benjamin Everage Caudill.
Captured at Booneville, Ky., August 19, 1863, taken to Camp Chase Prison, taken to Rock Island Prison, Exchanged at James River, Virginia on March 23, 1865. Did not take oath.

3. Malinda HUFF, born February18432 in VA; died 1927. She was the daughter of 6. William Jr. HUFF and 7. Phoebe HAMILTON.

Enlisted November 1861 under General Marshall, Colonel John S. Williams, Capt Ben Caudill: Co. F of the 5th Ky Regiment
Prison: Camp Chase Prison, Rock Island Prison
Adjutant General: enlisted November 1, 1861, Private, 1st Company F, 5th Kentucky Mounted Infantry.  Captured at Booneville, Ky., August 19, 1863, transferred from Rock Island Prison and exchanged at Boulware's and Cox's Worf, James River, Virginia on March 23, 1865. Did not take oath.
Kelly Franklin and Samuel Francis state that they served with Wesley.
Did not take oath of allegiance to U.S. Govt
Pension was allowed on October 15th, 1915.

Malinda Huff filed for a pension on 8/15/1917, #3756

John was a Private in Co F of the 5th KY Infantry and in Co A of the 13th KY Cavalry.
Possibly captured at Gladeville with brothers.
After war John was committed to the mental asylum at Lexington, KY where he died.

iv. Archibald MADDEN, born Abt. 1832 in KY1

v. Wesley MADDEN, born December 15, 1833 in KY; died May 13, 1917; married Malinda HUFF.

vi. Sarah MADDEN, born Abt. 1834 in KY1

vii. George Washington MADDEN, born Abt. 1838 in KY1; died February 16, 1864 in Camp Douglas Prison.

viii. Andrew Jackson MADDEN, born Abt. 1839 in KY1; died October 04, 1863 in Camp Douglas Prison.
Both Andrew Jackson and George Washington were Privates in Co A of the 13th KY Cavalry. Captured at Gladeville, VA., July 7, 1863. Taken to Camp Douglas Prison where they died.  Both buried at Oak Wood Cemetery.
