1847- he moved to Jenkins, Kentucky, living in tents the first
summer.
1847 -1854 Jordan was a moderator of all the Baptist Churches
in several eastern Kentucky Counties.3
He moved to Carr's Fork in Present Knott County, KY.
1848- Jordan's daughter Nancy married in Letcher
County.
By 1849- Jordan owned 250 acres in the Carr's Fork, Irishman
area.
1850- Jordan's daughter Mary married in Letcer County.

By 1860- Jordan owned more than 400 acres in the Carr's
Fork, Irishman area.
Jordan moved to Campton, Wolfe Co. KY, where he died in
1864.
He is said to be buried at "Swift Creek Cemetery", Wolfe
Co.3 Neither this cemetery nor his grave has been
found.
In her later years in Campton, KY, Barbara worked as a housekeeper for Dr.
Archelous Congleton.
